Oil and Beauty: L’Oreal at Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort for “Nature Series”

In addition to being one of the healthiest food for our table, Olive Oil is used since the earliest centuries for the treatment of physical beauty: its emollient properties help the skin to keep it soft and young. Not by chance that the Olive Oil is one of the key elements chosen by L’Oréal for its new product line, “Nature Series” and what better location for their production of 1st Olive Oil Resort in the world?
L’Oreal has chosen Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort to present the new line of hair products, on 11 May, attended by 25 journalists for international media, beginning with the publisher Hachette, owner of popular magazines such as ELLE and ELLE DECOR.

A day dedicated to the discovery of the many quality of extra-virgin olive oil and other ingredients used for the new L’Oreal products: rice, cocoa, horsetail, Argan oil, vanilla, cinnamon and lavender.

The presentation was made in the Oleoteca of our Resort, where Gemma Pasquali held a tasting of Olive Oil, specially prepared for the event, to explain to journalists what are the properties of the oil, both as food and product cosmetics.

Every journalist has also received the kit of the new L’Oreal products: shampoo, conditioner and serum for regenerating hair. Concerned for the environment, L’Oreal has decided to create recycled and recyclable plastic containers.

After the presentation, the delegation moved to the terrace of our restaurant, where chef Roberto Zanieri has prepared a special menu created with the new line of ingredients: cocoa tagliatelle with Olive Oil, bread sauce and Parmesan cheese; thread baked salmon with an aroma of vanilla, mini-flan with cinnamon rice and peas; creme burl with lavender and peaches.

The day ended in our olive grove where each of the 25 journalists have been able to plant an olive tree in memory of this experience in Tuscany.

We created a special album on Flickr where you find the best pictures of the day. Thanks again to L’Oreal for choosing  Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort for this important event.
