Farmers at work, and families in celebration on background landscapes that tell about Mugello a century ago: it is the photographic exhibition "Images of Mugello - Historical Photos by Alinari", in progress at the Palazzo dei Vicari in Scarperia until next August 16.
Sixty-nine shots in black and white, from the prestigious Alinari archive, told the daily life of this land between the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, through a path in three sections: landscape, work and social life.
Do not miss an opportunity to see a cross section of the Mugello, which no longer exists but which is the basis of craft and food traditions of this land, in the heart of Tuscany.
In the photos are also shown the ancient arts and crafts, such as manufacturing of knives, stone, wrought iron, in addition to farming and livestock activities that have always characterized the Mugello.
The admission price for "Images of Mugello - Historical Photos by Alinari" costs € 3. With the same ticket you can also visit the Palazzo dei Vicari.
The exhibition is open from Wednesday to Sunday 10/13-15.30/18.30 until 16 August. The staff of Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort is at your disposal for further information. |
