Villa Campestri, the first Olive Oil Resort in the world, has reopened for the new 2012 season. Sensory experiences with olive oil tastings, new dishes on the menu of our restaurant L’Olivaia, relaxing walks along the nature trails in our beautiful park, and olive-oil massages in the bambu grove are back. We had an exceptional guest at the re-opening, Tuscan fashion blogger Irene Colzi, Irene’s Closet blog, with us at Villa Campestri. Irene posted photos of her outfit, which shows her readers what she’s wearing, in the villa itself and in the park, fixing with a click some special moments and fabulous views (Here and here are her blog posts with the story of her stay). In addition to Irene, we hosted two other guests from the food world: Carlo Vischi, food and wine expert and director of the Collana Gourmet della Malvarosa edizioni, and Simona Cherubini, Simona’s Kitchen blog, who spent two days enjoying great food and wine, tasting olive oils with Gemma Pasquali, and exploring the Villa and surroundings.
- What did you enjoy most in your two days at Villa Campestri?
- You are Tuscan too: what do you think are the most important Tuscan characteristics, the ones that please you most?
For sure our natural products, like for example olive oil: a priceless heritage!
