To admire this beauty, Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort has created 4 nature trails, which allow you to explore the nature that surrounds the Villa in perfect solitude or accompanied by the guidance of a botanist.Path “Cantalupo” is a path that connects Villa Campestri to Cantalupo in 30 minutes. From the main entrance of Villa Campestri take the path that goes straight ahead, follow the first branch to the right to work “The Human Balance” by artist Fabio Bini, then follow the signs to Cantalupo.
Path “Podere di Moiaita”: 20 minutes is a path that connects Villa Campestri to the “Podere di Moiata”. From the main entrance take the path that goes straight to the branch. Then follow the signs to “Moiata”.
Path “Etruscan Wall” is a walk of just 10 minutes. From the terrace of the restaurant L’Olivaia cross the lawn and pass the large cypress tree. Cross the river and turn left: you will come to a building, probably of Etruscan origin. Nearby is also a shrine and a grove of chestnut trees.
Path “Century-old Cypress” is a walk of about 10 minutes. Leaving Villa Campestri follow the main road, crossed the gate and take a look in the tabernacle with the under-drawing of the fresco painted by Lorenzo di Bicci (the original is located at the Beato Angelico Museum in Vicchio and is dated to the fourteenth century). Continue to your right up to the church of S. Romulus: Here you will find the cypress, planted in 1446 by the Archboshop Saint Antony of Florence. The tree has a circumference of about 67 meters at the base and a height of 15 meters. It is the oldest tree in the Mugello.
