At Villa Campestri, we have been very fortunate to have our villa serve as the setting for a number of Tuscan weddings. For those seeking a quiet refuge in a beautiful hamlet in the Mugello valley to share the most important day of their lives, our park is idyllic for a scenic, romantic setting.

Whether you are looking for a perfect vintage affair with a colorful fiat 500 taking you and your guests to the ceremony or something more modern, with soft colors and elegance, we can find something to fit your needs. Obviously with every passing year, trends for weddings change and this fall 2014 we have compiled a list of top tips for a beautiful autumn affair that you and your guests will never forget.

1. Embrace Cranberry! When we imagine fall, we think of rich colors that compliment one another, such as a deep cranberry or Bordeaux mixed with a lighter taupe or white. We have seen a lot of weddings use raw materials like burlap bags, twine and thick white candles to make a country wedding really stand out with a certain simple elegance. Other colors that are popular this year are a sage green, a light pink, and navy blue.

2. Say Yes to The dress! Every bride or groom usually has an idea of what they like well before their wedding. Everyone’s tastes are different but this year we have seen a return of simple lace, beautifully accenting a clean, almost slightly conservative gown.

3. Timeless Gold. Without a doubt, gold always remains a classy element to any wedding, it’s about ‘how it’s done’ and what we’ve seen lately, is a more soft gold – in the form of chandeliers, stripes in cake and as table accents. Romantic is a popular fall 2014 wedding theme with large candlesticks and a huge floral element. ‘Great Gatsby’ seems to be quite the inspiration for those looking for a more vintage vibe.
