The Frescobaldi villas and castles represent the history and prescense of the Frescobaldi family in Italy. In the past, the Frescobaldis have opened their doors to accommodated important personalities, friends and figures of the sophisticated world of wine and important personages from the upper echelons of society, including Enrico Ways, Emperor of Germany, Carl d'Angio, King of France, and Carl, Prince of Wales and Beautrice, Queen of Holland. Today the Frescobaldi family opens their doors to those from near and far to enjoy their splendid wines and partake in the history of the family.

Florentine and Tuscan Wines are very famous all around the world, thanks to the wine production areas that surround Florence, like the most famous: Chianti.

Two of the main noble families of Florence, Antinori and Frescobaldi, began producing wine 8 centuries ago. They have been great rivals ever since.

In Florence you can visit a "Cantina" (Wine cellar) to enjoy a delightful wine tasting or winery tour inside an "Enoteca" (Wine bar). In these wineries you can taste: Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, or the famous Ornellaia.

However you don't need to enter a winery to taste a good wine, because in Florence you can find a "vinaino" (small stand where you can sip a glass of wine and taste some "aperitivo" outside, in the street) in every corner in the city center.

With its deep colour and lingering taste with notes of artichoke and almond, this oil inspires the chef Roberto Zanieri to create dishes of absolute excellence in a symphony of flavours skilfully combining innovation and tradition, simplicity and refinement. Many of the ingredients employed come from our gardens and organic orchards. Our wine list offers an ample selection with classic vintages alongside some innovative suggestions selected by our wine talent scout, maestro Dario Bogani.
The suggestive atmosphere of the Restaurant with its polychromatic caissoned wooden ceiling,  carved shelving, stone window frames and terracotta floors is the ideal setting for theme dinners, renaissance dinners, and olive oil, wine, or cheese tastings.

Immediately to the east of Florence there is an enchanted territory.
