From the quiet of Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort to the roar of the engines at the Mugello Circuit

For engines lovers, say Mugello is the same as saying Grand Prix: every year, in fact, at the Mugello International Circuit, runs the Grand Prix of Italy. The circuit is located between Scarperia and Borgo San Lorenzo, lovely medieval towns about twenty kilometers from Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort. In addition to the races, to recall thousands of engines lovers is the Italian Grand Prix, which last year celebrated the 25th edition. Unfortunately the last edition was characterized by the injury to Valentino Rossi, who forced him to stay away from engines for a few months.

The circuit is 5245 meters long with 15 turns, it extends harmoniously among the hills of Mugello in a place where there was an old circuit for motor racing from 1914 to 1967. The current route was designed in the ’70s and then renewed by Ferrari, the current owner.

If you are interested in following the Grand Prix in 2011, which will be held from July 1st to 3rd, be advised that pre-sales tickets are already available, with offers and discounts. For more information visit Mugello Circuit’s website.

So you can watch breathtaking developments on two wheels and see for the first time Valentino Rossi on a Ducati, then return to immerse yourself in the quiet woods of Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort.
