Villa Campestri in the Press!
So far 2014 has been a very busy season for us, we have had guests from all over the world combined with the duties of a working farm. It’s not really something we could consider a job, more like a lifestyle that we adore every single day. While our only goal is to provide a relaxing stay based all around the simple qualities of Tuscany, great food and olive oil, we always hope to help anyone seeking a unique trip to Italy by offering a variety of fun options that they will remember forever.
What Do People Say About Us
Whenever we see that someone has written about us, it’s always a surprise and very much a delight. In the past few weeks, we have seen two articles featuring Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort as a must-see destination in Tuscany. One of which is titled Tour Tuscany’s olive orchards throughout the harvest By Neal Turnage on USA Today.
Neal talks about the joys of the Mugello Valley and notes why people should visit. He toured our olive press along with our oleoteca and learned from our own Paolo about the secrets to truly amazing extra-virgin olive oil, even challenging long-standing beliefs — “The most commonly held belief is that the term means the first cold press,” announces Pasquali. “That is not entirely correct.”
The second article is featured in Forbes Travel Guide | 3 Extraordinary Italy Trips That Foodies Should Take by correspondent Veronica Meewas. She notes about getting pampered at our resort and enjoying the delights of our kitchen, from the article: “chef Andrea Perini showcases the oil with exquisite dishes such as caprino pear mezzelune served over walnut sauce and Cinta Senese medallions coated in chestnut-honey sauce and nestled in celeriac puree — all drizzled generously with the fresh extra virgin olive oil.
She also wrote about our activities that we offer guests staying with us, which include beekeeping, truffle hunting, painting, and of course our olive-oil massage.
As always we appreciate the very kind words and effort they made to showcase our resort as we always wanted. It is very important for us to have constant feedback from guests and journalists regarding their stay at Villa Campestri and it only strives to make us want to continue the taste-and-olive-oil-filled-journey.
