The secrets of Tuscan cuisine

Tuscan cuisine is a so-called “poor” cuisine, made of seasonal, simple and genuine ingredients.

It is a traditional cuisine linked to the products of its territory, which favors vegetables and legumes, alongside excellent meat specialties. All flavored with the exquisite olive oil that has always been produced in this generous land.

On the coast you can also enjoy delicious dishes based on very fresh and expertly cooked fish.

Tuscan cuisine is famous all over the world for some dishes that have made it truly famous, such as:

  • the Florentine steak;
  • tomato soup;
  • Ribollita;
  • the Mugello potato tortelli;
  • the panzanella (also called “pan molle”).

This ancient kitchen, however, has many secrets that are handed down from generation to generation. In fact, each Tuscan town retains its own recipes with small variations compared to the nearby towns.

For this reason, to really learn all the secrets of Tuscan cuisine, it is recommended to participate in a Tuscan cooking course in a location that has preserved its traditions, such as Mugello.
