How to arrive at Villa Campestri? Here’s a small guide that shows you how to come easily and conveniently, by private or public transportation, to our resort in the heart of the Mugello, in the greenest and most pristine hills of Tuscany.
The cover photo we’ve chosen was taken in the park that extends around Villa Campestri, one we’ve designed for our guests who want to feel a contact with nature at its most beautiful. From the hills around the villa, the view is breathtaking; on a clear day Vicchio emerges from its surroundings, and if you choose to wander out by bicycle along our chosen routes (here we show you three different routes), the atmosphere becomes even more intense and romantic.
Would you like to enjoy this enormous pleasure, plus all the other joys Villa Campestri has to offer, then do come and join us. To arrive is simple. If you’re coming by car, coordinate your trip with us at the Villa.
And if you’d like to arrive by public transport, it’s also really simple. From the main Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence, there’s a direct line to all the towns of the Mugelllo, including our stop at Borgo San Lorenzo. It’s a forty-minute train ride through the lovely countryside and picturesque little Tuscan towns above Florence. A look at the schedule here and you’ll see how frequent trains leave (every hour there’s a train leaving to arrive to us) along with the exact timetable.
From the little station at Borgo San Lorenzo it’s a short drive by taxi; Villa Campestri is a few minutes away from Borgo San Lorenzo. the lovely cypress-lined driveway brings you to our villa and its park, immersed in spring colors, a burst of flowers and olives and other vegetation, to make it a festive arrival indeed.
We know well your first impression counts and we sincerely hope to impress you. Not with any special effects; it’s the nature around you and our hospitality that says it best for us.
Villa Campestri opened officially for the season on March 25. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and on Instagram to discover for yourselves this little corner of paradise in the heart of the Mugello.
