Moto GP of Mugello 2018: all you need to know
The Mugello racetrack is located in the Municipality of Scarperia and San Piero, in the province of Florence.
A modern and safe circuit with a length of 5.245 m that with its 9 right-hand turns and 6 left-hand turns offers every year spectacular challenges where the best drivers in the world push themselves to the limit to reach the finish line. Because just as Simoncelli said “first or last does not count, the important thing is to have given the best in every single lap”.
The maximum speed reached in this historic circuit is 354.9 Km / h while the speed record was recorded by Marquez with a spectacular time of 1’47.639.
Saturday and Sunday 1 and 2 June 2018 the Mugello circuit will host the long-awaited Moto GP 2018 which will see 5 Italian drivers on track, including a novelty. In fact this year Franco Morbidelli joined Rossi, Dovizioso, Petrucci and Iannone.
The Italian motorcycles will be represented by the Aprilia and Ducati stables.
It will be a race under the sign of the last breath where the fierce Lorenzo, Márquez, Pedrosa, Viñales, Zarco and the wizard of the rain Crutchlow will give their best to conquer the podium.
GP of Mugello: where to sleep during the race weekend
If you are looking for a place to sleep during the Mugello GP there is good news for outdor lovers. It is possible to camp inside the Autodrome.
Yes, as the circuit is located in the heart of Mugello there are a lot of green areas and it is in fact possible to pitch your tent in the Autodrome. There are also spaces for campers and barbecue areas.
To take advantage of this possibility it will be enough to buy the tickets in the “Prato” sector.
Not being an equipped Camping, if you decide to live the emotions of the Mugello GP sleeping in a tent then you will need to bring with you everything you need. Tent, sleeping bag, towels, flashlight and everything that will be useful to your stay as the Autodrome does not have this type of products or services.
But at the Autodrome you will find stands where you can buy food and drinks. The city of Scarperia is quite close and you can reach it on foot to buy any type of product or enjoy delicious lunches in typical trattorias.
