The Mugellana Agricultural Fair has been held in the municipality of Borgo San Lorenzo for 39 years, an event with ancient roots but one that looks ahead, adapting to new technologies and the new needs of the sector.
The Mugello Agricultural Fair is organized by the Municipality of Borgo San Lorenzo with the collaboration of the Regional Breeders Association, which since 1981 has been showcasing the best of the area’s agricultural, farming, food and wine products.
Today the Fair has gained an important national importance, thanks to an excellent work that has allowed over the years to host top-level zootechnical exhibitions, offering the latest technology of the sector and showing products from all over Italy.
The event over the years has therefore become an important appointment to take stock of the agricultural situation in the area.
The FAM is therefore an unmissable opportunity for all lovers of land and livestock, for professionals in the sector but also for many enthusiasts or just curious.
During the 1990s the FAM (Fiera Agricola Mugellana) emerged as a sector fair of regional importance. It is precisely from those editions that the exhibition begins to host the National Limousine exhibitions and other cattle and sheep breeds.
Its continuous evolution has allowed us to arrive today with great news and many events to present the excellence of the rural and livestock world of the Mugello and the Province of Florence.
The Mugello Agricultural Fair 2019 among other sectors will tend to enhance the agri-food sector and in particular the typical products, the DOC and DOP brands of the territory and short supply chain, thanks to the presence of many exhibitors from all over Italy.
There will be many scheduled events during FAM 2019 including:
The Foro Boario di Borgo San Lorenzo will be hosting the Mugello Agricultural Fair 2019 on 6-7-8-9 June 2019.
An added value of the Fair that attracts so many onlookers from all over the region is certainly the chance to taste the delicacies of the typical Mugello cuisine. The FAM, in fact, for years has been a great appointment with local products, even with the possibility of tasting them directly at the fair thanks to the restaurant open for lunch and dinner.
At the Foro Boario in Borgo San Lorenzo, on the occasion of the 2019 Agricultural Fair, from 6 to 9 June, Mugello products will be the protagonists.
An unmissable event to spend days surrounded by nature, in contact with animals, with the opportunity to participate in workshops and to taste excellent Tuscan cuisine.
