Tuscany, one of the favorite destinations for motorcyclists from all over the world, is a region that fascinates two-wheel lovers. Its sinuous curves and spectacular landscapes are fully enjoyed by traveling on a motorbike, offering a unique and comfortable experience.
Serchio valley
The Serchio Valley is an almost magical place for motorcyclists who venture there for the first time. One of the most fascinating points is the Orrido di Botri, a spectacular limestone gorge at the foot of the Rondinaio and Tre Potenze mountains.
Many appreciate this place for the feeling of peace and silence it conveys, while others are attracted by the breathtaking landscapes of the valley. The surrounding area is full of historic villages, fortresses and sparsely populated centers that are worth a visit during a motorcycle tour in the Serchio Valley.
During the journey, you will be able to admire places such as Bagni di Lucca, famous for its thermal baths, Borgo a Mozzano with the famous Devil’s Bridge, and Barga, just to name a few.
Exploring the Chiantigiana
Florence is a fascinating city that retains its charm and the splendor of the past.
It never ceases to amaze with its works of art, churches and architectures that bear witness to its role in Renaissance art and culture. This Tuscan city is the starting point for a motorbike tour along the famous SR222 road, known as “Chiantigiana“.
The route is extremely fun, with gentle ups and downs and soft curves that are hidden among vineyards and houses in local stone, of a delicate color between beige and grey.
Val d’Orcia
Among the most fascinating itineraries to discover Tuscany by motorbike, the one that starts from Florence and arrives at the Val d’Orcia, crossing one of the most evocative stretches of Chianti, could not be missing.
Before leaving Florence, however, it is worth taking a short walk in its famous historic centres.
From the majestic Ponte Vecchio to the magnificent Palazzo Pitti, from the fascinating Piazza Santa Maria Novella to Piazza San Marco, the Tuscan city reveals itself as an authentic open-air museum.
After admiring the wonders of Florence, we are ready to set off to discover the beautiful landscapes of the Val d’Orcia. Our itinerary starts from the Regional Road 222, which with its sinuous curves crosses the valleys where the famous vines are grown. From here, an enchanting landscape emerges, characterized by rolling hills, luxuriant wheat fields and suggestive vineyards.
Along the way, there will be no shortage of picturesque medieval villages dotting the Tuscan countryside, offering everyone the opportunity to savor the authentic Italian way of life.
Versilia
After a motorcycle adventure among the majestic peaks of Tuscany, it’s definitely time to indulge in a pleasant sea breeze. And what better place to do it than Versilia?
We will start from Passo del Abiti and head towards Viareggio, crossing the suggestive Galleria del Cipollaio and stopping in Pietrasanta, famous for its marbles and sculptures that adorn the delightful village.
Once in Viareggio, we will be able to enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches in Tuscany, with its very fine sands and crystalline waters. Here we will have the opportunity to relax in the sun, take a refreshing swim or simply stroll along the beach admiring the horizon.
