The extra-virgin olive oil is one of the most important ingredients of Tuscan cuisine: it is responsible for most part of the taste of our dishes. More high is quality and the greater the feelings that will give to our palate. For this, the chef of Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort, Roberto Zanieri, created the “Olive Oil Menu” special dishes, which you can enjoy in our restaurant The Olivaia.Given the success of the Menu we decided to give everyone the opportunity to learn to cook our dishes, thanks to the cooking course “The Secrets of the Olive Oil Menu“.
This is a special course taught by our chef who will teach you how to prepare some of the Oil-course Menu: starting from starter with “The symphony of potatoes with extra virgin olive oil“, it then moves into the first course with “Spaghetti Martelli with bread sauce and parmesan cheese“. As a main dish we chose the “Carpaccio of beef fillet marinated in salt with a fondue of leeks and mashed potatoes with extra-virgin olive oil” or, for those who are vegetarian “The leek terrine“. To close the delicious “hot chocolate fondant with a liquid core of extra-virgin olive oil with our ice cream.”
The dishes are all prepared with olive oil quality, certified by the mark TREE, beginning with Cosimo’s oil, produced in Villa Campestri.
The course “The Secrets of Olive Oil Menu” takes an hour and a half, in addition to 30 minutes for the presentation of the dish gourmet.
The cost is € 175 per person.
