Blue Skies & Fun Times! Our Blogger Day at Villa Campestri.

This past weekend on Sunday, May 21 we hosted a special blogger day at our olive oil resort in Tuscany. We invited a wonderful group of bloggers & Instagrammers who are based in Italy but that write in a variety of languages, from Portuguese to Tuscan.Using the hashtag #VillaCampestri, they documented their day starting with a tour of the olive grove, an oil-tasting, aperitif in the garden, lunch on the terrace and ending with a watercolor lesson by a local artist and olive-oil centric massages.

It was very special to host them in our resort for the day because we want to showcase our little corner of Tuscany and we appreciate and value the work that they put into writing and photographing the best of Italy. We want to thank them not only for participating but also for what they do to help promote tourism in the area. We recommend following each and every single one, we have listed them below.

Our invitees besides me, Georgette, from Girl in Florence include:

  • Nardia Plumridge from Lost in Florence, a unique blog about the most unique shopping and travel destinations in Tuscany and beyond, Nardia has a unique eye for seeking out artisans and local favorites. Follow her instagram here.
  • Ilaria Vangi, an instagrammer who focuses on black and white photography and together with another Ilaria started a new site Tuscany Buzz, a media agency, from a local’s point of view.
  • Valentina Dainelli, instagrammer from our Mugello region! She runs a great site called ‘TooMuchTuscany‘ focusing on unconventional travel in the area.
  • Amy Gulick of The Bittersweet Gourmet, a wonderful food blog ‘from her Tuscan kitchen’ by an American living in the Mugello Valley, we love the stories she writes beyond the recipes.
  • Coral Sisk, Tour leader and blogger of Curious Appetite, who as her name suggested delves into the why’s as much as the how’s of food in Italy. Instagram.
