San_Lorenzo_2016-fit-800x1143

Summer 2016 in Borgo San Lorenzo is bursting with fun events celebrating the local culture. Big celebrations are planned for the Feast of San Lorenzo, the patron saint of Borgo San Lorenzo, with an exciting palio planned to be held on the 6th, 7th, and 10th of August.

The neighborhood teams will compete in fun and thrilling challenges:
• Running of the carts
• tug of war
• polenta race
• spicy spaghetti

The winning team will take possession of the so coveted victory banner.

But the surprises don’t finish here. A nighttime treasure hunt on the country roads will be the backdrop to all of the programmed events like live music every night, games, a market, and the long-awaited ‘Seconda Notturna di San Lorenzo’ non-competitive 10 km run with a more family friendly option of only 3 km.
