Just two hours from Villa Campestri there is the famous Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia, on the slopes of Piombino and the Gulf of Baratti, a stunning setting of rare natural beauty in the heart of the Tuscan coastline. The park itself contains the archaeological monuments from the ancient city of Populonia. The traces of the cemeteries and monuments of the city are a sign of the very real importance of this center in Etruscan and Roman times.
