Nowadays people are using all sorts of different methods to plan their trips abroad. While traditionally, travel planners and guide books are the way to go, technology has now paved the way for a whole new range of social media platforms that younger generations especially are using to get inspiration for there next trip. Since we too, adore instagram #VillaCampestri, we want to share some of our favorite accounts that would be wonderful for anyone searching for inspiration.
This has been quite a spring for us at Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort, in addition to greeting our first arrivals this season, we have been hard at work cultivating our centuries old park. It exists not only as a place of relaxation and refuge for our guests and our family, but also as a place where we grow our own organic vegetables, make honey and as a roaming ground for our chickens, hens and of course Gateau, the ‘fluffy’ addition to the family.
Fave beans or ‘broad beans’ as they are known in other countries, are tantamount to the Mediterranean diet which are currently in season in Italy. They are first accredited to an ancient Greek philosopher and mathematician, Pythagoras, around 500 BC and have been consumed for thousands of years in many diets around the world. In this new series, we seek to highlight local landmarks that we and our guests appreciate. The Mugello is a rich land that dates back to the Etruscan period, nearby to Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort, there are many small towns, museums, churches and villas that should be listed in your next itinerary in the region.
